Registration will begin in February.  This year (2016) we will register February 21 from 6-9pm, February 22 from 9am-2pm and February 23 from 11am-3pm at Duncan McDonald Arena, Upstairs.

4) Can I register before registration weekend?

Unfortunately no.  We are so busy in the office preparing for our new season that sometimes we are not ready until that day.

5) I missed registration weekend, what do I do now?

Please stop by our office, 75 Couch Cres. Centennial Park to register.  Spaces become limited after registration weekend so don't delay!

6) I have more than one child playing.  Can I use a payment schedule?

Of course!  QWSC will gladly accept post dated cheques for March 14, March 31 or April 15.

7) We would like to request funding to help subsidize the cost of registration for our child to play, how do we do that?

There is funding available through various organizations in our community.  If you are currently on social assistance, please speak to your individual case worker about programs to help you.  If you are unsure as to what program to apply for please speak to one of our volunteers at registration and they will provide you with some options.  Please note, if you apply for funding, your registration is pending until payment is received in full.

8) What day of the week will my child(ren) play?

QWSC makes every effort to plan game nights well in advance to help you.  The proposed schedule is currently under review and we will post as soon as it is finalized.  Please note this schedule is meant as a planning tool only and is subject to change without notice.

9) Can I request my child be on the same team as a friend for ride purposes?

Requests are not guaranteed.  QWSC makes every effort to balance teams using a computer generated software.  We only match players to teams with their coach or sponsor.

10) My child is interested in trying out for a Wolverine team, how do I do that?

Please visit our competitive page on our website for all the try out information.  There is a one time try out fee of $25.00 to cover the expense of the rental of the dome and the gym.

11) When does the season start?

The season starts  the Tuesday after the long weekend in May.  The U3 division starts in June.

12) I would like to coach a team this year, do I need any special courses?

A positive attitude and criminal record search is all that is required to coach a house league team in Quinte West.  We are currently working on securing a  FREE coaching clinic with a certified Ontario Soccer Association instructor for coaches interested in helping with players ages 3-6 years of age.  Please call the office or email qwsc@bellnet.ca if you are interested in helping with a team this season.

13) What does the playing schedule entail for my child?

Each program is different.  Typically your child is scheduled to play one night a week.  This is the case for divisions U3-U6 as we have a skill based session before a game.  In other divisions, U7-U18, coaches may choose to offer additional practice time.  Although this time is voluntary based on your individual schedules, it is encouraged that you make an effort to attend to improve skill and team dynamics.

14) When is photo day and what does that mean for us?

Photo day is scheduled in June on Soccer Saturday.  Included in your registration fee is a team photo and an individual photo of your child.  There is no need to bring money to order additional product.  Once photos are delivered if you choose to order additional photos, please contact the photographer directly.

15) When will we get our photos?

The photographer has to have the photos in to the office before the year end house league tournament.  Typically they are delivered to the fields the last week of regular season play.  If for any reason, you miss picking up the photos from your coach they will be in the office for pick up.  Please make sure your coach has dropped them off before you stop by.
